Learning Race and Ethnicity explores the
intersection of race and ethnicity with post 9/11 politics, online
hate-speech practices, and digital youth and media cultures.
The Media Research Hub is a resource for researchers, advocates, and
practitioners working for a more democratic and participatory public
sphere. The Hub offers various collaborative tools including a rich resource database, collaborative grants, news, events and opportunities related to media research.
Congress needs to appropriate funds that will help elderly, poor, and
rural Americans who are most dependent on television make the
transition. We need an ongoing research effort to make sure that
messages about the planned coupon program are effective for these
populations, and we need outreach efforts that fund and engage
grassroots groups and direct service providers who work with these
populations.
