NEWS & UPDATES: July 2008 The Boston Action Tank is an experimental "think tank" for social justice advocates to develop strategies and tools for shaping the media/communications future. We recently partnered with MayFirst/PeopleLink to present visioning and strategy sessions at the Grassroots Use of Technology Conference.
A collaborative, 20-year timeline at the Allied Media Conference in Detroit was the basis for this workshop discussion about developing strategies for our media & justice movements.
The "Knowledge Exchange" is a pilot project by the Media Justice Fund, Consumers Union and the Center for Media Justice to bring together national advocates and community organizers working on media policy. CIMA's helping participants and planners assess and improve the program as it develops.
