Measuring effective online (advocacy & activist) performance

The Internet holds out the promise of more access at less cost - the kind of equation that resource-strapped nonprofits love to hear. But does e-advocacy really work? How can the promise best be fulfilled?

The eNonprofit Benchmarks Study is the first work of its kind to look at the effectiveness of major U.S. nonprofit organizations using the Internet to raise money and influence public policy. The study is a tool that nonprofits can use to measure and compare their online performance to other organizations' online programs.

Resources for e-advocacy in action:

  • The eNonprofit Benchmarks Study - a benchmarking study co-authored by M+R Strategic Services and the Advocacy Institute, enabling organizations to measure their own online performance and compare it to that of other nonprofits active online
